Arisa is a fascinating cultural phenomena of the recent years. Arisa , a Middle Eastern gay party, had not only introduced the Eastern musical culture into the gay night life in Israel, and all over the world, but also connected the gay marginal culture with the Israeli mainstream through music, with hits like “Tel Aviv”, “This is not Europe”, and many more.
The Arisa video clips, which accompanied each party, have become viral. They got millions of views online and had been screened on many occasions, in exhibitions around the world, and became an integral part of the academic discussion around the Israeli cinema in recent years.
Arisa will present a collection of their best videos from the early days until now.
The screening will be accompanied by a discussion panel led by Doron Medali, the Israeli music hit writer, esteemed academy guests, and other surprises.
After the screening Arisa is going to hold a Circus Cocktail at the Cinematheque square.
