Matthias Le Goff is an Olympic champion swimmer nearing the end of his career. After verbally and homophobically abusing the host of a sports program on live television he is left with two options: walk away from the sport he had given his whole life to or assume coaching duties of The Shiny Shrimps – an amateur water polo team made up of a particularly camp bunch of gay men who are training for the upcoming Gay Games in Croatia.
Matthias opts for the latter, thinking he can somehow get out of serving his punishment. However, what starts out with an air of suspicion and hostility will later become an exhilarating, hilarious and touching journey that will change the lives of Matthias, the team members and above all else, leave audiences utterly overjoyed during the 105min of sheer escapist Entertainment.
