Margin of Error

Iris is celebrating 23 years of marriage with Jackie, her beloved partner. They are surrounded by a group of good friends and live a seemingly idyllic life. However, Iris’ world begins to crumble when she agrees to host in their apartment young Maya, the daughter of her good friend from the distant past. Maya arrives to study at the University of Buenos Aires. For the first time in a long time Iris experiences long-forgotten feelings.
Director Liliana Paolineli creates a comedic drama that presents an older woman’s coping with her passions. Many films study the mid-life crisis of men and this is one of the few films that explores the crisis from the female side. With impressive performances by a wonderful cast, Paolineli’s witty script and directing, the result is a film that is all about the love of heroines.
