Faraz Shariat’s delightful debut film provides cinema lovers with one of the most interesting voices in contemporary German cinema.
“No Hard Feelings” brings young characters to the big screen in a story about escape from the past and the dream of a better future.
Parvis is the son of exiled Iranians, coping with life in his small hometown by indulging himself with pop culture and occasional flings via Grinder. After being caught stealing, he is sentenced to community service in a refugee shelter, where he meets the siblings Banafshe and Amon who fled Iran.
As the romantic relationship between Parvis and Amon develops, the fragile relationship between the three of them is put to the test. Throughout the summer the three young people will face first love, the chance to build a joint future in a country that is not really interested in their presence, while their homeland is also not interested in their presence.
Get ready for a young, kicking, contemporary and important creation.
