With its unusual title, LOEV is a daring, stirring and emotive independent film, and most definitely not your typical Bollywood movie.
Its main character, Jai, is a young U.S.-based businessman on a short work visit to his home city of Bombay. He spends his first few days with his old-time friend Sahil, a musician dreaming of life in America.
The two embark on a trek into the mountains outside the city. All Sahil wants is to clear his mind of the haunting memories of the chaotic relationship he had with his ex. Jai, however, is into much more than that.
During their 48 hours together in the wild, the two attempt to renew their old friendship and get back in touch. Gradually, a much more complex story unfolds, accompanied by some painful truths.
The debut film by Sudhanshu Saria, LOEV was filmed in utmost secrecy in India, where homosexuality is still banned under law. It emerges as a daring, important movie that has complex political and social message that is relevant to society at large as well as to the LGBT community in particular.
Don't miss out!
