The EU-LAT Project
In June 2021, the network of EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the Ibero-American Network for Cultural Diplomacy (RIDCULT) held their first meeting in Toledo, Spain, where they decided, inspired by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which promotes strengthening partnerships for the protection of people, the planet, prosperity and peace, to work together to raise awareness of the value of culture as an inherent strength of human beings and of its contribution to respect for the dignity of people, their liberty and the full exercise of their rights.
Those common values and historical ties between the EU and Latin America are also shared by Israel. Therefore, it is here in Israel that EU Member States and Latin American States have initiated a joint presentation of their latest LGBT movies as a manifestation of their firm belief in freedom, justice and tolerance as pillars of society and their efforts for equality and respect.
