Halit is a fat woman, a filmmaker and instructor for youths at risk, in a joyous and satisfying relationship. But in the eyes of the world is first and foremost a fat woman in a world where everyone aspires to be thinner.
Halit sets out on a personal journey during which she conducts a brave and humorous dialogue with the perception of her obesity, deals with old wounds and thoughts on her future as a fat woman.
I’m Fat is a personal journey, but it is in no way private. The personal reveals a social and cultural phenomenon, which in turn creates the opportunity for a new perspective.
