David Morgas’ charming debut film is a small and humble gem that, with the help of a clever script and direction and wonderful acting, proves that even with a small budget and a limited cast, it is possible to create a beautiful, exciting and kind film.
Marcos arrives in New York from Barcelona only to find that his connecting flight to San Francisco has been canceled due to an impending storm. In search of accommodation for the night he arrives at a friend’s apartment and meets Alan, the roommate of his Spanish friend, who is happy to host him for the night. The two guys have nothing in common, but they will have to spend twelve hours in a typical New York apartment during a turbulent storm. Throughout the night, a series of misunderstandings brings Marcus and Alan to challenge their approach to love, relationships and happiness.
