This is a personal story of my life; the attempt to bring a child at the extreme age of 37. After dealing with being a lesbian, I found I had a big hole in me to fill as a woman – the desire to be a mother. This strong wish led me to start the process of IVF, which I hoped would eventually lead to pregnancy and motherhood.

“At the end of 2019, I embarked on a joint journey with my partner and a good friend to start a new family. The journey spawned a video letter project, a letter to a daughter, Gali.
The project is constructed in the outline of a day in my life, which presents a connection and construction of primes and typography as an analogy to the connection created between my friend Shiri, my partner Roy and I, Dror.
During the project, I researched parents who had already gone through the process, talked to doctors and promoted genetic testing. In the video letter I documented my point of view, along with the respect for privacy of the other characters in the project.” – Dror Amsallem
