Niv Fridman
Niv Fridman, Graduate Bezalel Academy for Art and Design in Jerusalem and the exchange student program at Cooper Union School of Art, New York.
In Fridman’s works he plays various characters including a zoologist, an Arab poet, an escort or a maid. His artistic Practice combines in-depth, historical and meticulous research with artistic liberty to wend out imaginary stories and expose homosexual or queer motifs hiding beneath the surface. Using an action Fridman ask questions about the heterosexual point of view and how it shapes history. He also examines his place in relation to this dominant position.
