A break room in a brothel in Berlin, where the workers rest between clients.
Maria, an Italian immigrant in her mid-20’s and full of self-confidence, is new to the business and the place, whereas Sasha has been working there for a while. Maria is different from all the other women in the brothel, with her tattoos, piercings and her habit of writing poetry in her notebook during breaks. Both women are immediately attracted to each other. Maria arrived in Berlin to earn money to help her impoverished family in Italy, while Sasha had escaped her old life in provincial Brandenburg, leaving behind her son and husband. The meeting of those two women who work in the sex industry and fall in love with each other gives the audience an unusual love story between women who live a non-conforming lives.
The director and screenwriter Henrika Kull gives us a surprising, realistic and different experience.
