Based on a real and horrifying case, infamous in the history of the Netherlands. In 2007, three men would invite other men to sex parties at their home, drug them and inject them with their own blood, which was infected with HIV.
“Feast” is a daring and provocative film that artfully raises questions about life, death and morality. The film spreads over seven scenes that mix surrealism, real facts from the case, scientific virology facts, actors and people that were involved in the real events, when all seven scenes resonate the horrible chain of events and raise ethical questions about knowingly infecting another person. Absurdly, and without meaning to, the creators of this film touched on issues that are very relevant nowadays.
“Feast” is an experimental piece that is hard to place. It’s a fascinating, challenging, complex and interesting film.
Trigger Warning: The film does not contain nudity or physical violence, but does deal with difficult and disturbing issues.
Viewing is 18+.
