Remember “Boy Culture”, the 2006 movie hit? Even if you don’t, director/producer Q. Allan Brocka and the two main leads of that film, Derek Magyar and Derril Stephens, come back with a wonderful TV series sequel that brings back to life the beloved characters from the original movie.
15 years have passed and Derek Magyar is portraying X again, still working hard as an escort for the highest bidder. He is dealing with a new generation of sex workers that is gaining on him thanks to the digital market. Help comes in the shape of Chayse, a young, shameless and uninhibited escort. X also has to deal with the fact that he is still living with his ex-partner Andrew, something that is making it hard for both of them to move on with their lives.
This series is a particularly entertaining delight.
