The hypnotic debut film by director Agustina San Martín is a daring, Gothic, tropical piece of a surprising suspense and young female passion.
Emilia is a young woman from Buenos Aires arriving in a small town close to the border with Brazil. Her mother recently passed away and she sets out to look for her older brother who recently disappeared. She stays at the hostel run by her distant aunt (the wonderful Ana Brun from the film “The Heiresses”). The locals believe there is a mysterious deadly beast hiding in the jungle and threatening their lives. A new female guest at the hostel helps Emilia face her fears and also her passions.
Director Agustina San Martín delivers a unique cinematic experience. This is a must see on a big screen.
