Retired hairdresser Pat Pitsenbarger, portrayed with lots of love and humor by Udo Kier, has given up on life a long time ago. He has locked himself away between the walls of a dreary nursing home in the town of Sandusky, Ohio. But when Pat’s favorite client passes away, her final wish is for Pat to do her coffin hair. Pat decides to go on an epic journey around Sandusky to collect all the equipment he might need for his mission.
“Swan Song” is a bitter-comic journey of self discovery at an old age.
Udo Kier, one of the greatest queer actors, shines and excites as Pat. Jennifer Coolidge (“American pie”, “White lotus”) is perfect as usual, Michael Urie (“Ugly Betty”) is very charming, and don’t miss the camp and glittery comeback of Linda Evans (“Dynasty”).
